Family Tree

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest mother Lillie Mae Clemmons-Yale who was born in United States North Carolina on July 24, 1944 and passed away on June 28, 2005 at the age of 60. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Our Mother was born to Robert and Geneva Pearl Clemmons. She has 4 brothers, David, Jimmy, Robert Jr, and Andrew.  Two sisters, Jennifer and Wanda. She grew up in North Carolina. She has 5 daughters. Sandra Holt, Brenda Hardin, Geneva Flowers, Jane Yale and Angela Pairsh. She has 9 grandchildren, Christina, Derek, Timothy, Scotty, Isabella, Dylan, Taylor, Faith and the newest addition Ronald Lee (Ronnie). One Great Grandson, Connor Michael.

She was a wonderful Mother who ended up raising all five girls as a single mother. She did a great job. She had her hands full. But she never stopped. She was very caring. She worked hard to support her family. One thing our Mother loved was her family. She was also loved by many friends. Our Mother would give you the shirt off her back. She always wanted to help people even though she really couldn't afford it. But that was just Mom.

We will remember all the memories she gave us. How could we ever forget putting up Christmas. That was one of her favorite holidays. She would always go out. Anything she could decorate she would. I can still see her dancing with Derek around the Christmas tree while listening to "Rocking around the Christmas tree". Or her cooking. She had to be the best cook. Except her scorched okra. But we still ate it. No one can ever replace her cooking...well sometimes Jane's tastes like hers. I think the one thing we will miss the most is our family dinners at her house. Just as long as it is not HAM. Even though we loved it..there would always be an argument. But hey that is our family.

Our Mother was diagnosed in May of 95 with CPOD (chronic pulmonary obstruction disease).  She had smoked a good part of her life.  She tried to quit, but it was a hard thing to do.  She had a spell on May 6, that changed everything.  She was in the hospital for a few weeks.  They told us there was really nothing else they could do.  We didn't really want to hear that.  The good thing during this time is that Angie's daughter was born on May 7th.  When Mom seen her she said to all of us.."He let me live to see her".  Mom seem to be doing better the day after she seen Faith.  Mom came home a few days later from that.  We all thought she was doing better.  She hid it well that she was not well at all.

The last few days we had with Mom were good.  The day before she passed away we had a family dinner that was one of the best ones!  We all laughed and had a great time.  On her last day which was June 28 she took a turn for the worst.  We were all around her during this time.  She knew we that we were all there.  She woke up a few times.  She passed away around 8:30pm that night.  She finally looked so peaceful.  She was no longer in any pain.  God brought her home to be with her Mother and Father.  When it is time for all of us to go home also.  She will be waiting for us at the Pearly Gates!  She is greatly missed by us all!!
